PC frustrations
Posted in General on November 29th, 2008 by RyanAnd another one is dead. My old PC finally died. So that makes 2 dead motherboards. Not sure what to do. I’ve searched for replacement boards for the old P4 PC and can’t find any that will support everything that is currently in the build now like the AGP video card. All the boards now have PCI-e. I’ve decided to scrap the parts and hope that my parents will find a new PC.
As for my desktop’s motherboard…Gigabyte voided my warrenty due to physical damage on a corner of the board. I should have sent it back when I first received it but I wonder if they would have voided my warrenty then too! Its obvious that the damage is a manufacturing defect. The board has a curved corner and anything other than the creation of the board would cause too much stress at that corner and would snap off. No way I, or FedEx could cause something like it.
