Affairs of a Heathen

The weather has finally started to change around here! I was wondering when the temps would drop. We waited for a couple weeks for the weather to be just right to go camping. One week it was too hot. Next week had too much rain and flooded the camps. Finally, no rain, perfect temps, and no bugs! The temp went down to about 50 F. It was worth waiting to get the campsite that perfect. Once we had the fire going, we turned on some music and sat around the fire relaxing. I enjoy this new camp site because everytime we go, the constellation of Orion is in perfect view. Definitely a good trip!

This is going to be a busy weekend. Chuck and I are headed down to West Palm for a 2-day Dave Mathews concert. I’m not as big of a fan as he is but I know they put on a great show. The hotel we’re staying at is having a post-concert party with open bar and some more live music. It’ll be a hell of a time.

I had a great time this weekend at Beat Harvest. Seen an interesting mix of people and experienced an insane genre of music live. I was happy to see everyone there. The night was pretty much perfect except that I didn’t bring a pillow. It took awhile for me to feel out the environment there much like I did at the Rainbow Family gathering. After enjoying a quarter liter of Disaronno, I started my trip around the area to see what was going on. It was hard to find a spot that there wasn’t music playing. If you walked around the camp grounds you would have heard just about every major sub-genre of electronic music. Definately a great time and am looking forward to next year’s show.

One week to go until Beat Harvest. Its my first DnB/Jungle show and first time back with everyone since we moved out of Japonica. I definately missed hanging out with Craig, Wop and Ian. They’re good people. Ian, Danny too! I missed out on the Infected Mushroom show in Miami and have been dying to go to another concert.
